Wrinkle smoothing – how is it achieved?
As collagen and elastin production slows with age, the skin begins to sag and follow the pull of gravity. The decrease in moisture in the skin, coupled with exposure to the sun and wind, pollution and poor diet, combine to create wrinkles in your face. Areas that were plump with fat tend to contract and form wrinkles.
There are many ways to potentially treat these unwanted lines and wrinkles, all of which are aimed at wrinkle smoothing. However, there's no longer a need to go under the knife to turn back the effects of time on the face. Anti-wrinkle injections offer a simple, quick and relatively pain-free solution to laughter and worry lines, crows' feet and other tell-tale signs of ageing.
As proven in clinical trials, treatment relaxes the muscles that can cause deep facial lines, keeping you looking younger for up to six months between treatments.
The procedure is minimally invasive, meaning clients need only take a few minutes out of their busy schedules for treatment. Within days you will report a naturally fresher looking face, with lines visibly reduced or even 'erased'. With anti-wrinkle injections, people will know you've done something, they just don't know what.
If you suffer with facial lines, wrinkles of folds or wish to add volume to your lips, Estetica has the answer in the form of Restylane. Derived entirely from non-animal sources, Restylane is fully biocompatible and biodegradable and gives volume where the body’s own hyaluronic acid resources have been depleted. This solution effectively treats signs of aging and requires no pre-test, meaning treatment can be started straight away.
Estetica also offers a range of chemical peels that can reveal fresher, younger looking skin in a matter of weeks . Chemical peels commonly contain alpha hydroxyacids, naturally occurring acids found in fruits and other foods that have been proven to be effective in treating a range of conditions including skin dryness, liver or sun spots, fine facial wrinkles and enlarged pores. Light peels are conducted in courses of six to eight treatments, with no less than a four-week interval in between each. Several different types of peels are offered for different therapeutic effects. Skin Medica Re-Vitalize peels are excellent for exfoliation to reveal younger, vibrant skin. Neostrata alpha hydroxy peels come in different strengths to revitalize skin and diminish wrinkles. Salicylic acid and Jessner peels penetrate acne to create clearer complexions. Depending on your treatment goals, we usually recommend Obagi, Skin Medica or Neostrata creams in between peels to maximize results.
There are just four weeks to go before TV celebrity Jeremy Kyle performs the official opening of the new premises of Estetica, a private Surrey dentist, in Chertsey.
These are exciting times for the practice – the new building not only features state-of-the-art equipment but is home to treatment rooms where patients can receive ground-breaking treatments using the latest technology.
As part of the countdown to December 20, Estetica is offering a series of special offers to our patients. This week we will take 30% off all laser treatments (see full price list).
Chemical Peel – Improve and smooth the texture of your facial skin
Do you suffer with acne or wrinkles caused by sun damage? Maybe you want to reduce fine lines under the eyes or around the mouth or improve the look and feel of skin that is dull in texture and colour. If so, why not consider a Chemical Peel?
A Chemical Peel is a body treatment technique used to improve and smooth the texture of the facial skin using a chemical solution that causes the dead skin to eventually peel off. The regenerated skin is usually smoother and less wrinkled than the old skin, thus the term Chemical Peel is derived.
Some types of chemical peel can be purchased and administered without a medical license. However, people considering such treatment, are advised to seek professional help from a specialist before a procedure is performed. Here at Estetica, we are fortunate to have a full member of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society, Parisa Bahramian, who carries out the treatment. Parisa is a skilled and experienced pharmacist with a passion for knowledge and a desire to develop new ways of helping her clients enhance their features.
