Laser Hair Removal There is a popular misconception regarding the treatments available to deal with unwanted hair or pigmentation problems due to sun damage.

Here at Estetica we have found that clients and potential clients can become confused when they look at the various laser and intense pulse lights’ treatments on offer in the Surrey area.

What is the difference between Laser and Intense Pulse Light (IPL)? Laser is a very special type of light that separates it as the brightest, most powerful light known to mankind. It is monochromatic which means almost 100% of Laser light is one pure colour. Laser is also collimated meaning it is slow to spread out thus making the light particularly powerful. As a result, almost 100% of the light proves effective in the treatment of hair reduction.

The effects of ageing on your skin can be significant. Not only can the dermal layer thin over time, but less collagen is produced and the fibres that provide elasticity wear out. Changes such as these can cause the skin to wrinkle and sag.

If you recognise the signs of ageing, there is no need to worry. Help is close at hand in the form of various treatments. One of those is Sculptra, a modern-day treatment that works differently from traditional fillers.

What is Sculptra?

Sculptra is a unique collagen replenishing treatment which helps to gradually and subtly reduce lines, wrinkles and folds in the skin. By helping to replenish your own facial collagen and restore lost volume, it can give you a fuller, more natural look that can last for up to 25 months.

Achieving that natural look with lip augmentation

They say that your eyes reflect what is in your soul but your lips and the corner of your mouth reveals what is in your mind. Whether happy or sad, peaceful or contemplative, there is no facial feature as expressive as your lips.

As the central feature of the lower third of the face, full and well defined lips portray a sense of youth, health, attractiveness and sexuality. They reach their fullness in our late teenage years or early twenties but thereafter, as they age, they lose volume and can become thin and flat.

Their appearance can be affected by a multitude of other facial structures including skin, fat, muscle, teeth and bones. As you grow older, these components change and ultimately contribute to the less attractive lip appearance.

As we age, our body naturally creates less collagen, the skin component responsible for strength and elasticity. The decrease in collagen leads to the appearance of folds, wrinkles, and hollowness on our faces says Surrey Sculptra provide. To counter that, a customized cosmetic treatment plan can be developed for you, which might include BOTOX® or other longer lasting fillers and injectibles like Sculptra or Restylane.

Sculptra is a popular option for restoring a more youthful look to the face using wrinkle fillers, and is a collagen regeneration product. It is an FDA approved soft tissue filler that stimulates your skin’s fibroblasts to produce new collagen, thereby reversing the loss of the skin’s fullness. It is used to fill and recontour areas where underlying supportive collagen and fat tissue have diminished with age or have been damaged by injury or disease. Sculptra is most often used to cheek hollows, smile lines, and depressions around the eyes. It is also used to restore fullness to the hands for a natural, younger appearance.

Sculptra treatments consist of a simple series of injections into the deeper layers of skin. Each treatment takes only 30 to 40 min to perform, and is usually done in a series of two or three sessions. Side effects include short term bruising, redness, soreness, and slight swelling. There is very little downtime. The results of Sculptra injections are not immediate. However, the effects of the treatments are enduring and will continue to improve. Skin thickness can increase over the course of several weeks, and may require a second or third treatment to touch up the area. Unlike other absorbable injectables that last only a few months, the benefits of Sculptra can last up to three years. to book your consultation for Sculptra injections in Surrey Simply call 01932 570099
